The country of hospitality
In Ireland, you have the choice between the Classic ans Select+ program. This means that you either let chance decide which school you will attend or, if you have more precise ideas, tell us what is important to you and we will suggest schools in you preferred region that match your personal interests.
The high schools that we offer are privately organized, but are nonetheless in accordance with the state education system. Overall, all schools offer a varied and interesting range of subjects from which you can choose the ones that you like best. English and Math are mandatory. A school staff member will advise and support you on the putting together your schedule.
The school year in Ireland is divided into trimesters, starting in September and ending in May. Irish secondary education is divided into two sections that each consists of three years. They are called "Junior Cycle" and "Senior Cycle". In between there is the so called "Transition Year", which offers many practical courses as an orientation year between middle and high school. There is an additional fee for the Transition Year.

English and Math are compulsory classes. All other subjects are electives. The school offers, for example, geography, social sciences, wood and metalwork, economics, politics, drawing and in the field foreign languages such as French and Spanish. The "outdoor education" and sports odder is also impressive.
Ireland is a country where you can feel that hospitality is more that just a word. International students are welcomed with a big smile and supported and well looked during their sty. In return the families also expect the students to be open-minded and able to adapt to their lifestyle to create a harmonic living situation.

SPRACHCAFFE maintains close contact with the local coordinators to help you with any issues that may arise. In addition, a member of the international Office will be there to support you as well.
Dublin
Dublin, the capital of the Emerald Isle, is a very vibrant and young city, with almost a third of all residents under the age of 25. This makes Dublin known for its humor, serenity and hospitality. Dublin is rather small European metropolis with only about 1.23 million inhabitants, which is why you will quickly become familiar with the area. The Ballinteer Community School was founded in 1+74 in south Dublin. Over the years, the school has made a name for itself, which makes students wear their uniform with pride. The extracurricular activities offered also contribute to the fact that the students really enjoy going to school. Part of these activities are a musical production group and a great sports program. The school even has a playing field with a great flood light system.

Eastern Ireland
Wicklow is a beautiful city south of Dublin. It is right on the coast and therefore has a beautiful scenic port with many small cafes. In addition, Wicklow Head is the easterly point on the Irish mainland. The city is said to gave been founded the Viking, but some remains suggest a much earlier settlement. The Colaiste Chill Mhantain is a relatively new school, established in 2011. In addition to the new building, there is also a well-equipped and very modern school area. The high school´s mission is to provide a positive and supportive learning environment that meets the physical, social, moral and spiritual needs of each individual.

Western Ireland
On the magical west coast of Ireland, Galway us probably the most famous city, with its own universities and the cosmopolitan and unmistakable atmosphere. Galway is known for its narrow streets, picturesque corners and traditional pubs, as well as its lively atmosphere give the large number of students. The best way to explore Galway is from Eyre Square, as it is exactly in the middle of the city.
At st. Edna´s College, it is all about tradition. The school was founded in 1928 and is located south od downtown on extensive grounds with a great view of Galway Bay. Until 1991, the college in Ireland´s third largest city was an all-boys school. Today it offers boys and girls high-quality academic training and an extensive extracurricular program.
St. Enda´s College
One of he most popular schools on the beautiful west coast of Ireland. The school is known for an excellent education.
