A dynamic course which gives our students just the boost they need to become more confident in their language skills. Our courses place a lot of emphasis on fluency, and our teachers use discussions, debates, games, role plays, as well as authentic learning materials appealing to groups. Classes also revise and build on previously learnt grammar and develop students' vocabulary.
Lessons:

Speech Communication Made Simple course
Speech Communication Made Simple course is a 12 week, 10-lesson/7.5 hours per week course designed to help students at different levels to develop their listening and speaking skills from various fun and interactive activities and pronunciation drills. Simple grammatical structures are taught and practiced using a fun and communicative approach during this course.
English for Academic Purposes
The English for Academic Purposes course is a 36 week, 10-lesson/7.5 clock hours per week course designed to help intermediate level students develop the necessary skills required for academic success in North American college or university. The course is intensive in nature and requires a lot of work on the students’ part. Students not only develop their overall language skills, but also focus on developing specific academic skills such as note taking, academic writing, reading, and group discussions.
IELTS Preparation
IELTS is a 24-week, 10-lesson/ 7.5 clock hours per week course designed to help Advanced level (IE Advanced) students develop their listening, reading, writing and speaking skills in preparation for the IELTS Test. (When a class is a semi-private one, that is, it has less than 4 students, you might have classes 3 times a week.) In this course, you will learn exam strategies to help achieve your IELTS test score goal. You will prepare specifically for the listening and speaking modules, as well as Academic Reading and Writing components. Mini tests will be administered throughout the course to track your progress.
Prononciation en Dialogue
The Prononciation en Dialogue course is a 12-week, 10-lesson/ 7.5 clock hours per week course designed for beginner students who want to exclusively work on their pronunciation in a conversation context. (When a class is a semi-private one, that is, it has less than 4 students, you might have classes 3 times a week.) By means of practical exercises and dialogues, you will become familiar with the French phonetic system, intonation and rhythm. This course will also address common difficulties encountered by non-francophones.
TEFaQ Preparation
The TEFaQ Preparation is a 12-week, 10-lesson/ 7.5 clock hours per week designed to train students who want to take the TEFaQ exam. The TEFaQ Preparation classes will also provide you with more challenging opportunities to use French in order to reach specific communicative goals.
Teachers
David Cunningham: A fantastic and energetic teacher, Dave is an icon in the ESL teaching industry with experience in Japan, Vancouver as an academic teacher and as a director of studies in many institutions.
Alex Inglis: Alex is a long-time teacher with experience as a director of studies and recently returned to Canada from Chile and England. He has a Master’s in Education from Oxford University and is currently doing his DELTA.
Grace MacDonald: Grace has been teaching in Canada for several years with experience at all levels. She was recently in Japan teaching at Waseda University and is beloved by her students. We are so lucky to have her on staff.
Paul Gregory: Paul has taught academic classes for a long time in Vancouver and helped students enter MBA programs, Science, Engineering, as well as Business degrees. Paul is currently our academic leader and manager at the Vancouver location. He has a Master’s in English Education and is recognized as an expert in teaching Academic English.
